Heya' Folks!
First I want to apologize for the downtime and missed broadcasts. Because of several diferrent things that popped up the plans I had to continue broadcasting have not been very effective. We should at least have the radio streaming shortly but as far as live shows it looks like we will not be broadcasting live again until I get back to Vegas on Friday. I do apologize for the downtime......
On a good note, the trip here has been great! This has been my first vacation in two years and taking a week off has been very envigorating!
The event in Dallas was a blast! We were able to raise around $29,000.00 for brain cancer research and everyone had a good time...
Being back in Austin has been wonderful... I'll be flying back into Vegas Friday night and I look forward to chatting with all of you soon... I do miss my Pirate crew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Title: State Relies on Fear Factor But Industry: Online Gambling Fights Back

The Commonwealth of Kentucky will be holding a hearing on Thursday to determine if it can seize up to 141 online gambling related domain names.
Gov. Steve Beshear said his administration has asked a Franklin County Circuit Court judge to give the state control of 141 gambling Web site domain names. Beshear said he's looking to restrict Kentuckians' access to Web sites with names that include some of the most popular gambling sites for U.S. players: bodoglife.com, doylesroom.com and fulltiltpoker.com.
Beshear referred to these online gambling firms as "blood suckers".
"Unlike casinos that operate on land or on riverboats in the United States, these operations pay no tax revenues, provide no jobs and yield no tourism benefits," Beshear said at a Monday afternoon Capitol press conference. "They are leeches on our communities."
But what might have seemed like a "cake walk" earlier will be met with a serious challenge.
"Some questions ... |

The U.S. government recently seized $24 million from bank accounts linked to Bodog, the giant, illegal-under-U.S.-law Internet gaming operation founded by Canadian tycoon Calvin Ayre.
Federal filings make very clear that a serious criminal investigation of the Bodog enterprise is ongoing. At a minimum, word of the seizures is likely to rattle the confidence of U.S.-based online gamblers that they will receive their winnings, not only from Bodog but from the industry's other remaining ... |

PayPal, once the most popular online payment method in North America, has announced it will be revealing the payment records of its members to the Internal Revenue Service. Apparently, the US government has demanded these records in reference to offshore transfers, and without the slightest bit of argument, PayPal obliged.
This action has caused an enormous upset from the online gambling community, resulting in a unanimous outcry of “sell-out”. For many online poker and casino... |

on Aug 06, 2008, 05:20:00 PM When the delay of play at the Final Table of the Championship Event of the World Series of Poker was announced before the start of the 2008 tournament schedule, WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack stated that one of the reasons for the four month delay was for the players to be able to obtain sponsorship and advertising revenues that would add on to their already life changing largess. He also stated that it would create a buzz along the lines of the Super Bowl and that it would be something that would draw the world's attention to the World Championship of poker.
